In this video I demonstrate 100 different varieties of an ordinary pushup. Doing a lot of different pushup variations is challenging and beneficial to your creativity. Especially, if you’re into breakdance, freerunning or a similar acrobatic type of physical activity. Many of the different pushups I show in this video may only be suitable for practitioners of the sports I just mentioned because of the relatively high risk of injury – for example pushups on the back of your hands. So be cautious, don’t hurt your fingers or wrists. If you’re bored quickly by the monotony of doing regular pushups only, you might want to give some of these varieties a try. Or perhaps all of them?
What do you think? I know even more variations, how about you? Leave me a comment.
PS: Huge thanks and props to Snowgoons for letting me use their smooth tracks for this video. You can get their magnificient music at: Snowgoons.de

what are the different muscles worked when you are “Putting your arms closer to your waist” as opposed to having them straight out perpendicular to your body?
do you know of any push ups that are especially good for biceps?
Nice Video. Thanks for sharing. My fav was the toad pushup…
I wanted to share it with my teenage sons who are rock climbers and would have loved the video but decided not to because of the sound-track you chose. In fact, I turned the volume off after a short time because I found it offensive. But the video was awesome!
I definitely appreciate this video man, your physique is where I want to be at, I only do cardio and weightlifting but I think I’m going to start doing a lot more pushups in my workouts. What would you recommend for toning the abs?
You’re welcome. If you’re more creative minded and bored quickly by only doing regular pushups, variations are the way to go. And, yeah, certain varieties develop strength and muscle in different areas. Example 1: Putting your arms closer to your waist will help you develop strength for planche pushups. Example 2: A wider grip puts more focus on your chest, a closer grip targets the triceps more. And learning new variations always makes you happy.
